My Fair Lady
By Rebecca

Whenever I go shopping, I always find myself gravitating toward the dresses. Not the practical everyday-dresses, but the elaborate cocktail dresses you see the Sex and the City girls in. Though these dresses are often way too formal for the event I am attending, I always end up getting it anyway because it’s just too pretty to pass up. The result? A closet packed of dresses waiting to be worn!

Perhaps I’m an East Coast minded girl from California, (who sometimes can’t help but to divulge in California staples like flip flops and jeans). I enjoy so much to get dressed up every now and then to go out.
When I look back at photos of my grandmothers when they were my age, I admire the way their outfits came complete with hats, gloves and handbags. How wonderfully glamorous it must have been to be dressed that way everyday. Could you imagine feeling bad about yourself in a home-made shift dress? I think not.
I thought a lot about my beautiful grandmothers when I saw the resort collections of Valentino, Chanel and Donna Karen. I could picture either one of them looking fabulous on vacation in one of these!
