Email: More Mature Than Text Messaging
I wrote this today:
Bob.
I’ll just get to the point.
I haven’t said “I love you” to a man in 5 years. I want to say it to you.
I’m not sure if you’re good for me, but I think you’re the one for me.
Let me know where to go from here.

And then….I put it in my drafts folder. My drafts folder is the closest place to vulnerability I’ve been in, well, five years. (Really, really.) So what do I do?
If he deletes the email, decides he’s happy without me, with what (maybe who) he has in his life, than my life doesn’t change. If he, well…if he…doesn’t reject me, I’m still not sure I’d know what to do. I am not sure which is scarier, his acceptance or his rejection.
What do you think, dear reader? Do I take the leap, hit “send”…sign it with x’s and o’s? Or…not?
